Ipswich Military Academy

Welcome to the Ipswich Military Academy's website. The IMA is a private military high school, that also runs a civilian high school program as well.
 
The mission of the Ipswich MIlitary Academy is:
 To transform our students into responsible, well educated, patriotic leaders with an understanding of selfless service to their Nation.
 
 
 
The Ipswich Military Academy is led by Colonel R. Cahill, USMC (Retired), With Major D. Dalton, USMC (Ret.) heading up the USMC JROTC Program as Commandant of Cadets. The current Cadet Battalion Commander is Cadet Colonel Michael Murphy, USMC JROTC, and the current Battalion Sergeant Major is Cadet Segeant Major Walter Christiansen, USMC JROTC. The Military Program:
The Military Program at IMA is run by Lt.Col. David Dalton, USMC Retired. Cadets wear their uniforms to school every day, and are instructed in Military Science by Lt.Col. Dalton and Master Sergeant M. Simms, USMC Ret., our MIlitary Science Instructors. In addition to their Military Instruction, Cadets also take part in regular classes with our Civilian students.

The Civilian Program:
The Civilian Program is for students who wish to attend IMA but do not wish to partake in a full time Military program. Instead of JROTC instruction, Civilian Students (or "Civvs") will be required to take Physical Education courses, and one semester per year of Leadership Education.
